Jay Ritterson has retired from teaching and moved on to continue intellectual exploration and growth. His last assignment was teaching English at Edison High School, the greatest blessing in his career.

“I have been teaching since January of 1980, following a career that lurched through the ages of debauchery to a sense of purpose and caring for the people of the world we share. Aiming for heaven has been used as an excuse for making hell on earth. I believe we’re better than that, and I keep trying to prove it.”

I really love my family, including the cat and dog, the wonder in the eyes of children, the fascinating natural world and the grace of a shared simple life.
